Selah Pottery Studio
Our Ethos
At Selah Pottery Studio, we are committed to creating a space where people of all skill levels can come together and feel a sense of belonging. Whether you’re brand new to clay, building on existing skills, looking for a fun workshop experience, or diving into a longer creative journey, we are here to support and guide you.
We recognize that trying something new can feel vulnerable, which is why we prioritize creating a low pressure, judgement-free environment where you can explore, develop skills, and build confidence at your own pace. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, supportive space where you can connect, learn, and create!

Meet the Maker
My journey with clay began as a creative outlet and quickly grew into something much bigger. Pottery became a way for me to slow down, reflect, and connect with both myself and my community. What started as a personal practice has evolved into my passion and livelihood.
I was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, and have been working with clay for over five years. As a former educator with a background in inclusive learning, I believe that learning should be hands-on, accessible, and rooted in connection. This studio is an extension of that belief and brings together my passions for teaching, art, community, and connection.
When I’m not in the studio, you can usually find me hiking with my beloved dog Cairos, working on creative projects, or exploring this beautiful island we call home.
What We Offer
We offer weekly classes, single-day workshops, drop-in studio sessions, private bookings, and a gallery selling work made by Lauren and local artists and artisans. We offer all inclusive pricing for all our classes and workshops; clay, tools, glaze, firing - it's all included!
Whether you’re interested in hand-building, wheel throwing, painting, or fun date nights, our offerings are designed to invite you into the art form in a way that feels accessible and approachable.
Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to welcoming you into our space.
