One Night Wheel Throwing
Curious about the pottery wheel? Spend a fun evening learning the basics of wheel throwing.
Service Description
Try out the pottery wheel in this beginner-friendly one-night workshop. You’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing, including how to centre the clay and shape your own piece with guidance from your instructor. No experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new and get a little messy. You’ll have unlimited clay to play with, giving you the freedom to experiment, make mistakes, and try again. When you’ve finished, you’ll choose your favourite two pieces to keep. At the end of the workshop, you’ll choose a glaze colour for your pieces, and your instructor will take care of the glazing and firing. If you’re interested in glazing your own pieces, you’re also welcome to book a follow up glaze session during drop-in studio time. Your pieces will be fully finished and ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after the workshop. For more in depth wheel throwing instruction, try Selah's 4 week wheel throwing class! All Inclusive Pricing: All clay, tools, glazes, and both bisque and glaze firings are included. Please note: This class is designed for adults, with a minimum age of 16. Participants under 19 require a parent or guardian–signed liability waiver. What to bring: An apron or clothes you don’t mind getting messy. You’re also welcome to bring inspirational images.
